Students learning in a safe and respectful school community
Policies & Procedures

Policies

Simple guidance to help students, families and staff understand what the school expects.

Clear Expectations

Good school routines work best when everyone understands them.

These summaries explain the main areas of school life. Any approved policy document published by MAJA takes priority over this website summary.

If a situation is not covered here, contact the relevant campus instead of relying on an assumption.

Policy Guide

Attendance, leave and punctuality

Regular attendance and punctual arrival support steady learning. Parents should report an absence promptly and use the campus’s approved leave process. Repeated absence or late arrival may be discussed with the family so that a practical support plan can be agreed.

Student conduct, respect and discipline

Students are expected to speak respectfully, follow reasonable instructions, care for school property and allow others to learn safely. The school responds to concerns fairly, considers the student’s age and circumstances, and involves families when further support or action is needed.

Uniform and personal presentation

Students should attend in the approved uniform, clean and ready for the school day. The campus can explain current uniform requirements, seasonal guidance and any permitted exception.

Safeguarding and student wellbeing

MAJA aims to provide a safe environment and treats student-welfare concerns seriously. Students and families should report a safety, bullying or wellbeing concern to a trusted staff member or campus leadership. Information is handled carefully and shared only where support, safety or law requires it.

Assessment, homework and academic honesty

Students should complete work honestly, meet reasonable deadlines and use feedback to improve. Copying, unauthorised help or presenting another person’s work as one’s own is not acceptable. Families may contact the teacher or campus when assessment expectations are unclear.

Devices, internet and online safety

School technology must be used for approved learning. Students should protect passwords and personal information, communicate respectfully and avoid harmful, illegal or inappropriate content. Personal devices may only be used according to campus instructions.

Parent communication and complaints

Start with the person or campus closest to the matter and explain the concern clearly. If it is not resolved, ask for the next formal review level. Respectful communication, relevant facts and a reasonable response time help the school investigate fairly.

Privacy, photographs and student information

The academy uses student and family information for legitimate school purposes and applies reasonable care when storing or sharing it. Parents should keep contact information current and inform the campus about any consent or privacy concern.
